Dog Kennel

Building an outdoor dog kennel, also called a dog run, is a great way to allow your pets outdoors without having to constantly monitor them. If built large enough, they can get a good deal of exercise. Before you begin, there are several things you must research.

First, is the kennel allowed by local building codes. If yes, is there a size restriction, and how high can the enclosing fence be? Some building codes either won’t allow a dog run to be built or have strict size limits. Even if the building code permits it, your neighborhood homeowner’s association (if there is one) might restrict dog runs. Be sure to check with everyone first before drawing up plans.

Pavers

Pavers are great for building patios and sidewalks. They are not very difficult to install and add a nice, finished touch to your home. Pavers last for many years as long as they are installed properly using the correct mortar.

Generally speaking, brick pavers are more robust and wear better than concrete types. With concrete, the color pigment eventually dulls and wears off the top surface. This causes them to look old and faded. Brick does not have this problem because they are the same color all the way through.
